Wake Up Tutorial

This Tutorial was written in PSP9,
but other variations should work also.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
Tube
I used a JDD Designs' Poser from a Group Share.
Gradient
Mask for background
Clock Pre Shape
Minni Font or your choice.
Supplies Here.
Supplies include clock Pre Shape, gradients,mask and font.

Notes:
All settings will remain the same unless otherwise stated.
This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.
All pattern will use the following settings:
Angle = 0
Scale = 50

Preparations:
Download the clock Pre Shape to:
My Documents/My PSP Files/PreSet Shapes
or open in PSP if the above does not work.
File/Export to Shape and save as Clock
Download you Minnie Font to:
C:/Windows/Fonts or have it opened on your desktop.
Download the gradients to:
My Documents/My PSP Files/Gradients
Choose a trim color or black.
Open Mask6 in PSP and minimize.
Open tube in PSP.

Let's Begin!!

1. Set your trim color to foreground
Set your gradient to background.

2. File>New Image>600 by 600 pixels

3. Click on your Pre Shape tool and find the clock.

4. Draw your clock on the new image.
Stretch it until it fills the new image.

5. Windows>Duplicate
Minimize duplicate for background.

6. Image>Canvas Size
Settings:
600 x 625 pixels
Placement:
Center Center

7Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow
Settings:
Drop Shadow Settings

8. Layers>New Raster Layer

9. Use the text tool
Settings:
Text Tool
Write Wake Up !
See mine for placement.

10. Effects> 3D Effects>Drop Shadow

11. Layers>New Raster Layer

12. Use the text tool, write Let's Play!
See Mine for placement.

13. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow

14. Edit>Copy your tube>Paste on the top layer.
See mine for placement.

15. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow

16. Layers>New Raster Layer>Add your watermark.

17. Layers>Merge>Merge All Flatten

18. File>Export to Jpeg at 25 compression to save.

You are now done with the header.

Background Directions:

Background
1. File>New Image>400 x 400 pixels.

2. Flood fill with gradient.

3. Layers>New Raster Layer

4. Flood fill with white

5. Layers>New Raster Layer>From Image
Find Mask6
Settings:
Mask Settings

7. Layers>Merge>Merge Group

8. Set pattern to material box.
Settings:
Angle = 0
Scale = 50

9. File>New Image>100 X 300

10. Flood fill with pattern.

11. Image>Canvas Size
Placement:
Left Center
Settings:
Canvas Settings

12. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow
Settings:
Drop Shadow Settings

13. Effects>Image Effects>Seamless Tiling
Seamless Tiling Settings

14. Layers>New Raster Layer

15. Layers>Arrange>Send to bottom

16. Layers>Merge>Merge All Flatten

Optional:
Maximize the copy of the clock.

1. Image>Resize>115 X 115

2. Copy and paste clock on top layer.

3. Layers/Duplicate>center the two clocks

4. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow on both clocks

17. File>Export to Jpeg at 25 comprssion to save.

You are now done with the background.
